Zellers plays its Trump card
Article Abstract:
Zellers Inc., a retail chain, has contracted the services of Ivana Trump to join Zellers' current pitchwoman Martha Stewart in its fall advertising campaign, its biggest ever, to launch the Everyday line of linens and bath products. Trump, who will appear in a TV commercial of the promotion, is joining other personalities, including soap opera star Eric Braeden, involved in Zellers' latest campaign. Zellers intends to move away from the retailer's price war strategy against rival Wal-Mart Canada and rectify the outdated perceptions of customers regarding its stores.
