GERMANY/US: BASF UPS HAFB OUTPUT

BASF is considering to build a new production plant for hydroxylamine free base (HAFB). The US is the most likely location of the new facility. At its Ludwigshafen plant in Germany, BASF is doubling the production capacity for HAFB to 4,000 tpy.

GERMANY: BAYER EXPANDS CAPACITY IN LEVERKUSEN

At its Leverkusen plant, Bayer AG is raising the production of polyaspartic acid (PASP) from 2,000 tpy to 12,500 tpy by spring 2002. Capacity for the production of iminodisuccinate (IDS) can also be expanded to 12,500 tpy from 4,500 tpy.
