Amino silicone polymers as hair softeners and conditioners
Article Abstract:
Dimethicone copolyol amine is observed to be of practically the same quality as amodimethicone based on the compounds tested. Dimethicone copolyol amine even poses an advantage over fellow amino silicone polymer amodimethicone due to certain featuers apparent even to consumers. Toners, body washes, shampoos, and hair gels can be produced from dimethicone copolyol amine. One benefit is that it allows hair to gain curl retention, manageability, softness and enhanced shine without an undesirable residual texture. Dimethicone copolyol amine is also perceived to have the ability to retain its stability throughout more formulations than the emulsion.
