Article Abstract:
According to the rulers of Saudi Arabia, which is considered as the most undemocratic state in the region, Islam is incompatible with democracy. Majority of the Muslim scholars define democracy as respect for the rule of law, equality between citizens, the fair distribution of wealth, justice and the freedoms of expressions and assembly but it is not clear if the citizens have a right to choose their leaders.
