France as China's multipolar ally
Article Abstract:
Europe, with France at the helm, should hold regular, intensive and constructive discussions with China. France and China share the same vision of a multipolar world where cultural diversity is respected. These talks should be founded on the principles of cultural relativism if they are to have any beneficial impact on the global community. The importance of taking into account Chinese culture in any negotiations is manifested in France's success in convincing the Chinese government to sign the UN convention on economic, cultural and social rights.
