From mosque to multimedia in Malaysia
Article Abstract:
Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad believes his country must adopt a new collaborative approach to doing business through networking if it is to continue to thrive in the Information Age. Under this new approach, networks of firms collaborate across borders, mutually enriching one another and their respective countries. Toward this end, Malaysia has launched the Multimedia Super Corridor for electronic commerce, which boasts of cyberlaws for the protection of intellectual property, an extensive fiber optic backbone, tax incentives and a fast-track permit process.

War correspondent Ryszard Kapuscinski covered revolutions, wars and other important events, making him one the 20th century's greatest observers. He believes the existence of conflicts within civilizations and that the poor has learned to accept global inequality without aggressive rebellion. Kapuscinski also shared his views concerning the role of intellectuals in a pragmatic society and ideological path that leads to the perfect society.
