From the GATT to the WTO: the developing countries and the reform of the procedures for the settlement of international trade disputes
Article Abstract:
The participation of developing countries in the creation of effective and objective frameworks for the settlement of international trade disputes is examined. The creation of a dispute settlement mechanism is an important factor in instituting confidence and predictability in the multilateral trading system. This mechanism should be instituted since if entities involved in international trade do not have believe that international law can uphold their national and individual self-interests, they, in turn, may not honor their obligations.

Modelling a WTO dispute settlement mechanism in an international antitrust agreement
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the trade conflicts which have arisen as a result of government policy towards antitrust agreements. The influence of the World Trade Organization in the settlement of disputes is discussed.

The Korean Export Insurance system

Issues are presented concerning the benefits which export insurance brings to business enterprises who trade internationally. The use of the export insurance system by the Korea Export Insurance Corporation is discussed.
