Article Abstract:

An insight into India being on the brink of an HIV/AIDS epidemic due to a weak public health infrastructure, complex social structure, and other factors as predicted by an HIV/AIDS Task Force delegation to India is presented. India's strategy to combat with HIV/AIDS is foremost based on prevention and selected interventions, which will lead the way for other South Asian countries, is discussed.
