Article Abstract:
The electoral rules of Mexico, political institutions and the ways in which they interact with one other are investigated to explore how the present difficulties in Mexico after an amazingly close 2006 presidential election have developed and how they can be resolved. Electoral reforms, electoral-cum-institutional reforms and institutional reforms would be necessary to enhance the political stability of Mexico's democratic institution.
