Moral dilemmas and pedagogical challenges in teaching about genocide
Article Abstract:
Courses in genocide and human rights present challenges of confronting the history of attempts to promote human dignity and rights in the face of ongoing inequities, pain suffering, and mass murder in history. The study of genocide and other atrocities provided a perspective through which to examine the enormity of intentional human destructiveness throughout history.

The United Nations and genocide: Prevention, intervention, and prosecution
Article Abstract:
The members of the UN Security Council, which basically control what, the United Nations does and does not do in the way of intervention and prevention of genocide is discussed. There are many critical challenges that the UN faces with regard to becoming an effective agency that prevents and/or intervenes in future genocidal events.

The role of individual states in addressing cases of genocide
Article Abstract:
The states have a basic political, economic, legal, and moral obligation to stop genocide because it threatens the basic integrity of the international system. All states have a fundamental moral obligation to maximize international civility and minimize international barbarity.
