Article Abstract:
The first priority rule (the priority of liberty) of John Rawl's justice as fairness reads: the principles of justice are to be ranked in lexical order and therefore the basic liberties can be restricted only for the sake of liberties. The priority of liberties has always played a central role in Rawl's political theory.

Justice in reparations: the cost of memory and the value of talk
Article Abstract:
Despite the harms flowing from expropriation, reparation by regimes usually fail to restore justice, instead cause further injustice. It is argued that democratic relationship is better honored, by seeking collective forms of memory and respect for victims and common protections against further crimes.

From freedom to liberty: the construction of a political value
Article Abstract:
Primitive freedom has no political value since it is based on individual desire. Once an authority arises with the power to enforce laws, modern societies can be evaluated on their commitment to helping their citizens achieve a construction of liberty with as few constraints as possible.
