Russia's new model: East Asia plus West Europe
Article Abstract:
In light of the drastic economic reforms occuring in Russia, it is important to moderate and stabilize the approach of reform. The model that is suited for Russia's underdeveloped economy is one that combines the best features of the West European social democracy and East Asian industrial policy.

Human rights were the big losers in Russian election
Article Abstract:
Human-rights violations remains the most significant issue that confronts Russia even as it awaits the result of the summer presidential elections. Any political entity that emerges victorious must make its people realize that human rights serve as the foundation for state and society.
