The World Trade Organization's legitimacy crisis: What does the beast look like?
Article Abstract:
The diagnosis of an 'institution of crisis' is reviewed from a political and law perspective. The existing fallacies about assessing multilateral intergovernmental institutions and the competing schools of thought that approach the World Trade Organization (WTO) are discussed. The actual debate on redesigning the WTO is taken up and question of balancing input and output legitimacy is addressed.
