The role of private parties in the enforcement of the Uruguay Round Agreements
Article Abstract:
The World Trade Organization (WTO) was based on public international law which requires member states to represent individuals before the WTO. This system needs to be revised because the international trade legal framework should be directly accessible by the actors in the area, individuals and companies. Direct access to the WTO's dispute resolution system would appropriately support the world trading system's general principles.
