A behavioral genomic analysis of DNA markers associated with general cognitive ability in 7-year-olds
Article Abstract:
A behavioral genomic analysis of five single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and their composite that explored developmental, multivariate, and genotype-environment (GE) issues, was conducted at 2,3,4, and 7 years of age. Significant GE interactions were found for discipline, education, and occupation in which the association between the SNP set and 'g' at 7 years is stronger in low-risk environments.

Finding genes in child psychology and psychiatry: When are we going to be there?
Article Abstract:
Some new developments in the identification of quantitative trait loci (QTLs) in key areas of child psychology and psychiatry such as reading and hyperactivity are described. The single most important factor is the need for very large samples to attain adequate power to detect and replicate QTLs of very small effect size.

High sibling correlation on methylphenidate response but no association with DAT1-10R homozygosity in Dutch sibpairs with ADHD
Article Abstract:
The sibling correlation of methylphenidate response rate and the possible association between response rate and these risk alleles is examined. The conflicting results of the various association studies might indicate that methylphenidate response in attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder is genetically heterogeneous.
