An antidepressive and psychological profile of stimuloton (sertraline) versus classical antidepressants
Article Abstract:
One group of patients was given the basic therapy of amitriptylin and the other group was given stimuloton for comparing the antidepressive and psychological profile of stimuloton (sertraline) and classical antidepressants and determining the level of social competence and quality of life (QOL) and the presence of side-effects. The findings of the study indicated that the treatment with amitriptylin as well as stimuloton resulted in comparable positive changes in depressive symptoms.

Maintenance antipsychotic therapy subjective: Quality of life in patients with Schizophrenia
Article Abstract:
Studies reveal that the principal therapeutic aim following the reduction of acute schizophrenia manifestations consists in the prevention of recurring exacerbations, focusing on the development of criteria of maintenance drug therapy efficacy. Results suggest that different viewpoint exist concerning the effect of maintenance neuroleptic therapy on the subjective quality-of-life indices in patients with schizophrenia.

Development of a biopsychosocial concept of disease at the V.M. Bekhterev Institute in the twentieth century
Article Abstract:
Several works by G. Engel appeared in American literature in the late 1970s dedicated to his development of the biopsychosocial model of human diseases. Further, V.M. Bekhterev had already created a concept of the study of an ill person and a well person by the beginning of the twentieth century, which he called the' study of human nature'.
