Association of negative and positive social ties with fibrinogen levels in young women
Article Abstract:
Research showing an association between social relationships and fibrinogen levels in young women is presented. Higher fibrinogen results were found in women who felt peers undermined them socially, especially when combined with infrequent peer support.

Oral contraceptive use and hemodynamic, lipid, and fibrinogen responses to smoking and stress in women
Article Abstract:
Research regarding physiological consequences of women's oral contraceptive (OC) use is presented. OC use appears to moderate cardiovascular activity in smokers but not nonsmokers, especially when combined with psychological stress.

Body fat distribution and hemodynamic stress responses in premenopausal obese women: a preliminary study
Article Abstract:
A study of the role of regional body fat distribution in heart disease in obese premenopausal women is discussed. Hemodynamic stress responses in the women seemed to vary according to location of body fat distribution.
