Cognitive-behavioral therapy for adolescents with binge eating syndromes: A case series
Article Abstract:
A study extends published studies of psychotherapies for bulimia nervosa (BN) conducted with solely adult populations to a pilot version of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for BN adapted for an adolescent population. Results indicate significant reductions in the frequency of binge eating as well as declines in all subscale scores of the Eating Disorders Examination from pretreatment to post treatment.
