Article Abstract:
Michael R. Levenson and Cheryl A. Crumpler's proposition of a liberative model in 'Three Models of Adult Development' suggests disadvantages that also stem from its advantages. Generally, the article is constrained by a materialistic view of Erikson's generativity theory while contending adult maturity as not just concern for children's welfare. One of their most interesting arguments concerns the influence of behavior in adult development which implies the crucial part played by prevailing over determinism, and as a consequence can be countered by free will.

Article Abstract:
Janet Strayer's article 'Trapped in the Mirror: Psychosocial Reflections on Mid-Life and the Queen in Snow White' is flawed by a 'static, even non-developmental' treatment that overlooked relevant issues on adult development. Furthermore, the vague allusion to mirrors or symbolic interaction did not effect a 'sense of redemption, of moving on, of transformation' of the processes. Likewise, the need to rewrite the story as part of interpreting it is also proposed through an explanation of the link between the mythos and logos forms of thought.
