Adolescents' ideas of normative life span development and personal future goals
Article Abstract:
Research into similarities and differences between adolescents' ideas of normative expectations of life span development and their future goals indicates that boys and girls may have different conceptions of male and female life span development. All adolescents believe that crises are more likely to happen to others than to themselves. Adolescents who report positive categories in the normative life span are also likely to report positive personal goals in the categories of family life, education, property, occupation and retirement.
