Detecting fake-good MMPI-A profiles in a correctional facility
Article Abstract:
A study of 140 correctional participants and 137 noncorrectional participants has examined whether the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-Adolescent (MMPI-A) can tell the difference between responses from correctional adolescents told to fake, and noncorrectional and correctional particiants given standard instructions. The test was successful in differentiating between these groups. The adolescents came from an institution in Ohio.
