Anorexia nervosa in Asian-American adolescents: Do they differ from their non-Asian peers
Article Abstract:
The clinical characteristics and phenomenology of anorexia nervosa (AN) in Asian-American adolescents are assessed comparing with their non-Asian peers. The results have shown that Asians are demographically similar to their non-Asian peers, but the apparent lack of fat phobia among Asians might be related to the overall under-reporting of AN symptoms.
