Etiology of hypercholesterolemia in patients with anorexia nervosa
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to clarify the mechanism of hypercholesterolemia in anorexia nervosa patients. Results show that serum levels of cholesterol, cholesterol ester transfer protein and apolipoproteins decreased after weight gain, indicating that cholesterol metabolism is accelerated in patients with anorexia nervosa with normal serum levels of free fatty acid.

The bitter truth: sensitivity to saccharin's bitterness predicts overactivity in highly arousable female dieters
Article Abstract:
This article examines whether women who are highly arousable, currently dieting, and are sensitive to the bitterness of saccharin exercise excessively. The authors, assessing responses to a questionnaire, conclude sensitivity to the bitterness of saccharin predicted hyperactivity in highly aroused female dieters which reveals another factor in anorexia nervosa.
