Increasing the reliability of Wechsler Intelligence Scale for children- third edition difference scores with reliable component analysis
Article Abstract:
The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Third-Edition was examined to determine if new criteria applied to the differences between scores would improve reliability. Differences between reliable component scores were found to be more reliable than those from weighted scores recommended by K.C.H. Parker and L. Atkinson.

The properties of equally and differentially weighted WAIS-III factor scores
Article Abstract:
It is important to establish the extent to which differential weights for Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - Third Edition (WAIS-III) factor scores are sample-independent, which is necessary for their use. Research in this area has also compared the properties of equally weighted and differentially weighted WAIS-III scores. It was established that, for well-standardized tests such as the Wechsler scales, the bias against the use of differential weights could be groundless. Equal weighting gives high reliability for WAIS-III composite scores.
