Infants' visual preferences in the presence and absence of auditory stimulation
Article Abstract:
Experimental studies of the effects of auditory stimuli on visual orientation in infants reveal a decrease in visual preference with auditory stimulation. A study of the infants' heart rates indicates that arousal plays a part in sensory responses. The time spent by the infants in looking at visual stimulus is independent of the nature of auditory stimulation.

The development of differential use of inner and outer face features in familiar face identification
Article Abstract:
Assessment of the ability of four-to-ten-year-old children in identifying their schoolmates from partially concealed and whole-face pictures of them revealed the subjects' judgments of external features to be more accurate than that of internal characteristics. All subjects displayed versatility in whole-face over part-face identification of their peers.
