MMPI-2 findings in schizophrenia and depression
Article Abstract:
There is a continuing need for research on the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2), to help assess findings from the new version and new content scales. MMPI-2 basic clinical and content scale score differences for patients diagnosed with schizophrenia or depression were investigated. Particular attention was paid to multivariate and univariate effects linked with a diagnosis of schizophrenia versus depression. The DEP and Bizarre Mentation content scales were thought to contribute significantly to prediction beyond Scale 2.

Automatic and controlled processes in the analysis of hierarchical structure
Article Abstract:
Hierarchical structure refers to the characteristic and property of many visual stimuli where local-level forms such as the eyes, nose and mouth combine to form a more global level form such as the face. The function of automatic and controlled attentional processes in the analysis of hierarchical structure are investigated through two experiments. Data produced provides no support for the hypothesis that controlled attentional processes affect hierarchical stimulus processing.
