Psychology, religion, and the family: it's time for a renewal
Article Abstract:
Psychological research has generally neglected examining how religion, the family, and psychology are linked. Future research could find considerable value by investigating interactions in religious families, the effects of religious training on children, relations between family counseling and religion, and the role of religion as a moderator of family behavior.

Transmission and transaction: predicting adolescents' internalization of parental religious values
Article Abstract:
Parental religious behaviors and beliefs appear to significantly affect their teenage children's beliefs and behaviors. Modeling impact is most significant on adolescent boys, with the most effective religious discussions held between parent and child of the same gender.

Finding meaning in religious practices: the relation between religious holiday rituals and marital satisfaction
Article Abstract:
Marital satisfaction showed a positive relation with religious holiday rituals. Husbands tended to chiefly appreciate ritual meaning while wives' satisfaction was related to routine practices, with overall affirmation of values, beliefs, and relationships.
