Self-monitoring with panic and anxiety disorders
Article Abstract:
Self-monitoring can be effective in treatment formulation, treatment intervention, evaluation of treatment effectiveness and descriptive psychopathology in panic and anxiety disorders. Research in this area has focused on evaluation of treatment effectiveness and descriptive psychopathology. Self-monitoring of panic and anxiety may be less influenced by response demand and memory biases than is estimation, but it may be vulnerable to attentional and judgmental biases frequently found in anxiety disorders. It is vital for self-monitoring to be standardized if it is to be effective as a measure of treatment outcome and psychopathology.

Longitudinal factor structure of the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale of schizophrenia
Article Abstract:
Research into the invariance of the factor structure of the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS) over time has involved investigating three types of invariance using multiple-groups confirmatory factor analysis. The findings were consistent with other longitudinal invariance studies that use the BPRS. It was established that model fit is better for the 16-item version of the BPRS. Excitement and Disorientation may be indicators of more than one dimension, and may therefore prompt misfit in a simple-structure model.
