Recognizing unfamiliar faces: the effects of distinctiveness and view
Article Abstract:
Face recognition, as confounded by variations in distinctiveness and view, is examined in this article. Researchers found that the accuracy and speed of recognition for both distinctive and typical faces varied according to the percentage of view provided of the face; distinctiveness and view also effected recognition of unfamiliar faces, but no interaction was observed between the two factors.

Memory span for Arabic numerals and digit words: evidence for a limited-capacity, visuo-spatial storage system
Article Abstract:
This article evaluates six experiments conducted on variations in memory span for Arabic numerals versus digit words. Per previous experimentation, memory span is greater for Arabic numerals than digit words, referred to as the numeral advantage effect; despite visual and spatial interference in further experimentation, the numeral advantage effect remains present.

Shattered illusions: the effect of explicit memory mediation on an indirect memory test
Article Abstract:
Experiments concerning the influence of explicit memory in an indirect memory test are described. Researchers were interested in determining whether the effect of the white noise, used in strategic sections of the memory test was signaled by implicit or explicit memory, or both.
