Reinstatement versus reactivation effects on active memory in infants
Article Abstract:
Reinstatement and reactivation are reminder paradigms used increasingly in memory studies with infants and young children. A study to determine whether the two reminder procedures are truly functionally equivalent was undertaken, in a group of infants. It was found that the distinction between reinstatement and reactivation is not artificial.

Memory processing of a serial list by young infants
Article Abstract:
Serial list learning is the memory acquisition and retention of items serially presented to the individual. A modified serial probe recognition procedure was used to investigate this phenomenon among three- and six-month old infants. The presentation of the items and testing are separated by a period of one day. Results reveal that the infants are able to learn and remember the items presented to them 24 hours earlier if the orders of presentation are similar.

Infants' memory processing of a serial list: List length effects
Article Abstract:
Researchers have relied on the serial-probe recognition procedure to study memory processing of serial lists of arbitrary items. A study aimed to determine whether increasing the length of a study list affects infants' memory for serial order, using the serial-probe recognition procedure. The increased length of the serial list produced a dissociation in infants' memory performance on recognition and reactivation tests, as with recognition and priming tests with adults.
