A cross-cultural examination of the relation of marital communication behavior to marital satisfaction
Article Abstract:
The relationship between levels of marital satisfaction with effective marital communication behavior between three different cultural groups is examined. The results prove that positive and negative communication correlates to marital satisfaction and that American group placed stronger emphasis on effective communication for martial satisfaction than the Pakistani group.

Current and past depression as predictors of family functioning: a comparison of men and women in a community sample
Article Abstract:
The association between parental depression and marital satisfaction on parent-youth relationship is examined. The results show that depression and poor martial relationship is more pronounced in women than in men, but the gender of the parent had little effect on parent-youth relationship.
