Resource-allocation strategies: a verbal protocol analysis
Article Abstract:
The effectiveness of an approach used to resolve a resource-allocation problem is influenced by the problem's degree of complexity. Less complicated resource-allocation problems are addressed effectively by a solve-and-schedule (SAS) strategy. However, the effectiveness of SAS strategy diminishes as resource-allocation problems become more complex. The use consume-and-check strategy is more appropriate when dealing with highly complex resource-allocation problems than the use of SAS strategy.

The influence of anger and compassion on negotiation performance
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the role of emotions in negotiation performance reveals that more anger and less compassion results in fewer chances of future working relationships. The intuitive negotiation advantage of one party over the angered other is unfounded and angered employers in negotiations result in fewer joint gains. The study also reveals that high anger and low compassion pose serious dangers to negotiations with no clear advantages.
