Risk factors for body dissatisfaction in adolescent boys and girls: A prospective study
Article Abstract:
Risk factors for body dissatisfaction are investigated using prospective data from 531 adolescent boys and girls. Results support the assertion that certain socio-cultural, biologic, and interpersonal factors increase the risk for body dissatisfaction, although the factors differ for boys and girls.

Effects of a weight maintenance diet on bulimic symptoms in adolescent girls: An experimental test of the dietary restraint theory
Article Abstract:
A randomized experiment with adolescent girls that is carried out to examine the effects of a weight maintenance diet of bulimic symptoms is discussed. The diet intervention gave a significant greater decrease in bulimic symptoms and negative effect than observed in controls.
