Sterilization of the mentally ill during the years of World War II in Finland
Article Abstract:
A study examined the reasons for sterilizations in Finland during World War II and postwar period. The results revealed that the law of eugenics, besides enactment of a sterilization law in 1935 played an important role leading to an alarming rise in the number of sterilizations of the mentally ill.

Starvation in psychiatric institutions in Sweden
Article Abstract:
The fact that in Sweden there was no discrimination on the basis of mental health for accessing food though there was acute rationing during war times and hence no deliberate killing of the mentally disabled is presented.
