Stigmatization of anorexia nervosa
Article Abstract:
An examination is conducted of the perceptions about an individual with anorexia nervosa relative to perceptions about a healthy person and a person with another mental or nonmental illness. It is found that negative perceptions of a person with anorexia nervosa fell into stigma categories of self-attribution and responsibility.

Trans-cultural comparison of disordered eating in Korean women
Article Abstract:
The hypothesis that eating disorders in non-Western cultures is due to Westernization is examined by comparing behaviors in Korean women with differing levels of exposure to Western cultures. The results confirm that native cultural factors play an important role in the development of eating disorders in non-Western contexts.

Importance of size in defining binge eating episodes in bulimia nervosa
Article Abstract:
Research examining the importance of the quantity of foods consumed by people suffering from bulimia nervosa in defining binge eating episodes is presented. It is emphasized that the main characteristic of binge eating episodes in people with bulimia nervosa is impulsiveness.
