The effect of PTSD and combat level on Vietnam veterans' perceptions of child behavior and marital adjustment
Article Abstract:
A study of the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and level of combat exposure on the marital adjustment and perceived child behavior problems of Vietnam war veterans confirms that combat exposure is the main etiological parameter of PTSD. A combination of combat exposure and PTSD resulted in interpersonal adjustment difficulties in the subjects. However, when observed individually, these problems were predicted with greater accuracy by PTSD occurrence.

What's in a name? The MMP1-2 PTSD scales
Article Abstract:
The study of the MMPI-2 post-traumatic stress disorder scales (PK and PS) reveals that PK and PS are indices of general emotional distress and maladjustment and have implications for their use in diagnosing post-traumatic stress disorder. There is a need to construct the MMPI-2 post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD) scales as indices of psychological distress and not only PTSD.
