The effect of reinforcement or stimulus control to reduce sedentary behavior in the treatment of pediatric obesity
Article Abstract:
In a study, obese children were randomly assigned to a family-based behavioral treatment that included either stimulus control or reinforcement to reduce sedentary behaviors. Results indicate that both treatments were successful in decreasing sedentary behaviors.

Reinforcing value of physical activity as a determinant of child activity level
Article Abstract:
A research study about the reinforcing value of physical activity as a predictor of physical activity among children is discussed. The reinforcing value was shown to be more related to frequency than the duration of activity.
