The factor structure and factorial invariance of the 12-item General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) across time: Evidence from two community-based samples
Article Abstract:
A widely used and studied indicator of minor psychiatric disorders, the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) exists in several forms but the relatively good validity and the space saving properties in survey studies of the 12-item GHQ makes it the most popular form of the scale. A study was conducted to test the factor structure of the GHQ-12 using confirmatory factor analyses (CFAs) in two community based adult samples with different time lags.

Teacher ratings of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder symptoms: Factor structure and normative data
Article Abstract:
An evaluation of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) typically involves diagnostic interviews with the child, parents and teachers, direct observation and behaviour rating scales. The factorial structure and normative data of a teacher rating scale consisting of the 18 symptoms of ADHD have been examined, and it was found that boys, younger children, and African Americans had higher ratings of ADHD symptoms.

Factor structure of coping: Two studies of mothers with high levels of life stress
Article Abstract:
The factor structure of coping in mothers with high levels of life stress was investigated by using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). EFA of the Coping Orientation to problems experienced yielded several reliable coping factors, whereas CFA was used for cross-validating the EFA model on the basis of responses of mothers of 2-year-old children with prenatal polysubstance exposure.
