The psychometric assessment of anger in male and female adolescents resident at a secure youth treatment centre
Article Abstract:
The State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (STAXI) and the Novaco Anger Scale (NAS) are both useful in assessing anger in young people detained in a secure environment because of their anti-social behaviour, according to research into the assessment of anger in a secure Youth Treatment Centre at Glenthorne, England. It was found that the NAS is particularly valuable in highlighting individual differences in the subjective experience of anger. The NAS was easy to use, and the many substantial links between the various subscales of the STAXI and the NAS offer some backing for its validity in assessing anger in adolescents.

Subtypes of stalking (obsessional following) in adolescents
Article Abstract:
Adolescents and adults may present similar stalking/obsessional behaviours, such as the exhibition of delusional fixations and abandonment rage, but adolescents may be suffering from more severe personality disturbances and psychotic disturbances. Adolescent stalkers are more likely to initially come to the attention of mental health professionals via the school system, while adult stalkers generally come to the attention of law enforcement officials. Adolescent stalking is more severe than teenage infatuation, with stalkers suffering from attachment and identity disturbances.
