The reliability of the Eating Disorder Examination - Self-Report Questionnaire Version (EDE-Q)
Article Abstract:
Research designed to assess the internal consistency and test-retest reliability of the Eating Disorder Examination-Self-Report Questionnaire Version (EDE-Q), a 41-item measure taken from the Eating Disorder Examination, shows that the four subscales of the EDE-Q have very good internal consistency and test-retest reliability. It appears that the major subscales of the EDE-Q are extremely stable. The EDE-Q can be said to be a psychometrically sound self-report measure for the diagnosis of eating disorders.

Variability in self-esteem, moods, shame, and guilt in women who binge
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the changes in self-esteem, moods, shame and guilt experienced by women who binge and who do not binge. Results show that bulimic women who binge have greater fluctuations than women who do not binge. In addition, the former tend to have lower levels of self-esteem and positive affect, while having high levels of shame and guilt prior to their binge episodes.
