Written emotional disclosure buffers the effects of social constraints on distress among cancer patients
Article Abstract:
A study that will examine whether written emotional disclosure will reduce distress among cancer patients buffering the effects of high level of social constraints on distress is presented. The results show that written disclosure buffers the effects of social constraints on stress at 6-month follow-up and that avoidance partly mediated these effects.

Marital satisfaction in patients with cancer: does support from intimate partners benefit those who need it the most?
Article Abstract:
This study examines the effects of three types of spousal support on marital satisfaction in cancer patients. Results indicate that active engagement, a problem-solving approach, is positively correlated with martial satisfaction but overprotection and protective buffering are negatively correlated with marital satisfaction.
