Jung von Matt: German upstarts
Article Abstract:
Jung/Von Matt was started in 1991 by Jean-Remy von Matt and Holger Jung with the desire to create an advertising agency that would rank in the top ten for creativity for at least 25 years. The agency's 90 employees are organized into pairs for each position. Von Matt and Holger attribute the success of the agency to both the partner-oriented philosophy and the emphasis on educated, intelligent, and aggressive employees.

Maverick way east of Madison
Article Abstract:
Colin Marr began his own advertising agency when he discovered that to do what he wanted he must be in charge. Marr has purposely kept his firm Marr Associates, Ltd. of Edinburgh, Scotland, limited to a staff of 17 in hopes of promoting growth at a manageable level. Marr remains famous for his Linn Hi-Fi campaign in which he successfully convinced his client to run advertisements which did not show their products.
