Norway
Article Abstract:
The evolution of graphic design in Norway began in the days of the Vikings and continues to the creative works of today. Many social and political forces shaped this evolution. For example, 400 years of rule by Denmark resulted in the slowing of progress in the arts. Also, The two world wars stopped all creativity and it wasn't regained until the 1960s. A new emphasis in graphic design, which included better education and governmental support, has helped establish today's creative spirit in the graphic arts.
