Article Abstract:
Amazon.com unveiled the 'Search Inside the Book' technology in 2003, which makes searchable every page of text by keyword in more than 120000 titles and presents digital images of actual book pages to consumers. Some publishers are criticizing Amazon for risking book sales at the expense of its own development as search engine. The premier debate surrounding Amazon's technology is of rights and potential piracy.
