1998 IDRC best practices honor six firms
Article Abstract:
The International Development Research Council handed out Best Practices Awards to six firms during its World Congress on Nov 4, 1998. The winners include Cigna its Vision 3 Initiative which integrates human resources, information technology and work process to improve real estate services and Lucent Technologies for its Project Atlas which involves a transformation of about 12 million sq. ft. of work space. Other winners are KeyCorp, Johnson Controls, Trammell Crow Corporate Services and Mobil Global Real Estate.

Crupi's global view: a brave, grave new world
Article Abstract:
James Crupi emphasized the importance of globalization during the International Development Research Council's Dallas World Congress. Crupi stated that manufacturing activities in the US will be reduced and would therefore require companies to establish a global base. He added that empowerment, ethics and the city-state will be important issues in future corporate real estate activities.
