A cinematic double bill
Article Abstract:
Norwich City Council has approved the construction of a Ster Century multiplex cinema in the Castle Mall, Norwich, UK, to the annoyance of UCI which opened its own multiplex in November 1999 at Riverside, Norwich. According to Mike Loveday, the council's acting head of planning, the right decision has been made on the basis of spatial analysis and the city's needs. The decision of the council has the backing of Dodona, cinema consultant. According to Steve Knibbs, Northern Europe senior vice president of UCI, both operators will suffer as a result of the decision.

Article Abstract:
A large number of 25-year business property leases will run out not long after February 2000 in Norwich, UK. According to Chesterton's Ian Fox, whose company conducted research into the matter, the expiry of the leases could result in new opportunities, with tenants moving buildings and some taking up spaces at business parks. According to FPDSavills' Ian Reid, there is concern about the expiry adding to the number of properties on the market.
