Border corridors: the Americas connection
Article Abstract:
The success of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) in increasing trade and investments has the governments of the US, Canada and Mexico seeking to expand the agreement to the entire American continent. Under NAFTA, the three-nation market accounted for a combined gross domestic product of $7.5 tril and approximately 400 mil consumers. The benefits of NAFTA have stimulated the upgrading of essential infrastructure. In the US, Canada and Mexico, the governments are allotting significant expenditures for the upgrading of highways, airports and ports used in trade. Border states and local governments are benefiting as well under NAFTA.

I-35: an interstate becomes a global corridor
Article Abstract:
Interstate-35 has become a symbol of North America's booming economy and ever-improving trade transaction. The connecting trade highway's 1,585 mile span runs along the stretch of the world's wealthiest regions, representing $7 trillion gross domestic product. Member nations of the North American Free Trade Agreement agreed to form a coalition, called NASCO, in order to provide I-35 with adequate financial and management support. NASCO is recently on the process of adopting innovative international trade processing centers designed to facilitate border requirement operations.

Article Abstract:
The signing of the North American Free Trade ushers in a new era of business globalism which presents companies with ample opportunities to expand their operations. The agreement dissolves trade barriers between Canada, Mexico and the US and has prompted the signatories to improve their infrastructure to accommodate expanding business organizations. It is also considered as a major step toward the creation of a world economy.
