In Europe, the strongest areas for software development are the United Kingdom, France, and Ireland, while some activity is taking place in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. While software development is still focused on the capital cities, some clustering is taking places in such places as Provence, France, and the Netherlands. Some of the key elements in selecting these areas have to do with the availability of business partners, good educational institutions, skilled labor, and multilingual capabilities. Other areas have been identified as well.

European automakers battle for market share
Article Abstract:
Consolidation in Europe auto industry is underway as the the European automakers try to remain in business and the international auto firms seek a stronghold in Europe. In order to save construction and marketing costs, they are locating in Eastern Europe. Nevertheless, Western Europe is still the magnet for auto-related activity, with the United Kingdom in the forefront.
