Hottest metro areas for facility investments in 1991: Dallas, Charlotte and Atlanta
Article Abstract:
The largest corporate facility investments among all the metropolitan areas in the US were made in Dallas, TX, in 1991. Cooperation in economic development, as well as infrastructure and resource diversity, made Dallas an ideal location. The other cities in the top five metropolitan areas in terms of new facility construction or expansion were Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL; and Fort Worth, TX. Competitive costs of business operations, cooperation between business and government leaders and reasonable costs of living made these metropolitan areas attractive as business locations.
