IDRC's Palm Desert World Congress: work-force focus draws record-setting attendance
Article Abstract:
The 1991 World Congress for Corporate Real Estate Executives, sponsored by the Industrial Development Research Council, focused on problems concerning the American work force. Industrial competitiveness is significantly affected by the education and training of workers. In this regard, much improvement is needed to make the US educational system equal to the task of preparing students for work. Aside from education and training, innovative facility design can also improve employee productivity. Real estate executives must also prepare for international operations because corporate globalization will be the trend in the years to come.
